How do people adapt to different situations?
One Book, One City for Kids is an annual reading program that encourages all 5th graders in the city to read and discuss the same book. The program also strives to encourage a lifelong love of reading among students, to inspire readers to bring story ideas and themes to life through discussion, and to build collaborative ties between public libraries, school libraries, and area schools. This year the entire city will be reading Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper.
People adapt to different problems by getting use to them. Like Melody, she had to adapt to her mom feeding her. And she’s use to it. It’s basically normal to her. When people adapt to situations it becomes normal or everyday life to them. That’s how people adapt to different situations.

ReplyDeleteMelody’s teammates had to adapt to her being on the whiz kids because she can’t do everything they can do.Claire and Molly just can’t adapt to the situation Melody has gone through and still is going through.
People adapt to different situations like Melody has to adapt to her life because she has to get fed like a baby and she can't talk only on her Medi Talker. She can't walk or run because she is in a wheelchair.

ReplyDeletePeople change to different situations because of something that someone has trouble with becomes easier for that person. Ex: Melody had a hard time talking so she got a Medi-talker from her parents and Mrs.V helped her learn how to use it.

DeleteEveryone's adapting in the story because now Melody has " Salvira " now and if she just can push some buttons and the machine will talk for her. When Penny came Melody and her parents had to adapt to waking up in the middle of the night, and getting them both ready in the morning. The kids in H-5 went to the inclusion classes for the first time nobody really adapted to them except Rose and the teachers.

ReplyDeletePeople adapt by changing their actions or emotions. And Melody had to change. She had to adapt to Penny and people in the inclusion classes. As well Melody's parents had to adapt to Penny. And Melody's parents had to switch they're attention towards Melody. And the people in the inclusion classes had to get used to not having normal people class.
