Describe Melody's character.
One Book, One City for Kids is an annual reading program that encourages all 5th graders in the city to read and discuss the same book. The program also strives to encourage a lifelong love of reading among students, to inspire readers to bring story ideas and themes to life through discussion, and to build collaborative ties between public libraries, school libraries, and area schools. This year the entire city will be reading Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper.

Deletemelody named her pup butterscoth because thats her favorite cany she is having fun with her new puppy i remebered when i was five i had a little puppy but the i went to a vacation over the summer the dog care said my puppy past away i was crying for weeks but now im happy i forgot all about....................have you heard of a story called peter pan when peter pan took wendy and her brother to neverland and the pirate wanted to kill peter pan and there was tinker bell who got captured by the pirate......................and have you heard of the day my puppy died the named abdelraziq loved his puppy and then one summer he went fo a vacation in detroit and his puppy was at a do care place called puppys day care and then after the vacation the boy named abdelraziq cam back from the vacation then he heard bad new that hi puppy was dead he cried for weeks.........this all i want to tell you

Even though Melody has cerebral palsy everyone thinks that she is dumb and that she will never make the wiz kids team. They thought wrong ,she does because she is a smart and kind girl. Have you ever heard of the meaning "don't judge a book by it's cover because it could be better than it looks" its like that but in stead of a book Melody is a human being they are or were judging her by her face. Melody also doesn't like pink so I'm guessing that pink I not her favorite color but I think blue is her favorite color. Melody is also a very creative girl because she can tell what color the music looks like to her by just listening to it. she is also very thankful that Penny is not like her because that would put too much pressure on her parents but especially her mom because her dad is always at work. Melody is also always very curious but she takes her chances.

Also, she is very nice and I know because in the story, it never said that she was being disrespectful to people. Because of that, no one knows how smart she is. I think her character is mad and sad because is she can’t talk, she can’t tell people what she wants to tell them. She is funny because she can still do some things like when she rolled over and got the monkey and keep on squeaking it. Lastly I think she is lonely because she can’t do the things that other people without cerebral palsy can’t do. She can’t move her arms or her legs very much, and she can hold things for about five seconds. This is what I think about Melody’s characteristics.

I have some details about Melody.She has a photographic memory,amazing.The sad thing is she is disabled,she can't talk also its hard for her to flip over.She is really smart from the inside but she can't let it outside.Many people just dont understand.I hope Melody has better days in the future.The author just made my day better,I hope she has a better day too.

I feel sad for Melody because she has to lay on the ground and she can't talk.When she watched WIZARD OF OZ I bet her wish was to walk,talk and move her muscles.She hates her dad's jazz music. Daveion@sherwoodpark

ReplyDeleteI think Melody is really smart but a lot of people do not know that she is.Sometimes Melody is really nice and generous to people.Some people think she doesnt really know things like a regular kid.But she isn't a regular kid,she has all these big words inside of her mind but won't say it out loud.She loves jazz music.

She wishes she can talk because people sometimes can't understand what she's saying and she sometimes gets irritated and she wants to scream. I feel sorry for her because she has to be in a wheel chair,can't talk ,can't feed herself, she can't go to the bathroom and she's tiny for her size,she's ten and 3 quarters.She sometimes drools

Melody is a person who can't walk or talk.In school Melody learns things she already knows,and one thing is when she sees something that's already known by Melody, she might scream,screech,and shrieks.Also she gets treated like shes invisible and she doesn't like that at all. She gets bullied because she couldn't say anything when she was on the playground.And she doesn't like that either.

"Melody is a eleven year old girl.she is a photographic memory.Melody has a head like a video camera that is always recording".Melody is a smart kid in her whole school.Days consisted of listening to the same preschool-level alphabet lessons again and again."If only she could speak up.Melody cant walk cant talk or take herself to the bathroom or feed herself.
