What makes Melody different from the rest of the children in H-5? What would be Melody's ideal school situation?
One Book, One City for Kids is an annual reading program that encourages all 5th graders in the city to read and discuss the same book. The program also strives to encourage a lifelong love of reading among students, to inspire readers to bring story ideas and themes to life through discussion, and to build collaborative ties between public libraries, school libraries, and area schools. This year the entire city will be reading Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper.
Melody is different because her classmates can talk but Melody can not. All of her classmates have wheel chair but all of them can write melody cant even control her self and they can

ReplyDeleteMelody cant move that is one difference.Another one is that Melody cant talk she hates that she cant talk because she has so much to say and that makes her angry.Talking about angry another thing that is different about Melody is that she gets tornado explosions.By tornado explosions she means she gets really angry and her legs kick and her arms go wild and she hates that.Those are all differences that i can think about right now how about you?

ReplyDeleteWhat makes Melody different from her classmates in room h-5 is that she can not walk,talk,eat, or even use the bathroom by herself. Another reason why Melody is different than her classmates in room H-5 is that she has a media talker as her voice and she thinks that she will look bad in front of her friends in Mr. Dimming's class room, and especially in front of rose because rose is like her best fried so she doesn't want to embarrass her.

DeleteThe diffrence about Melody is that she can't talk or walk like her other classmates and that she is more intelligent than the kids in H-5 and Melody also has tornado explosions she doesn't need to learn her ABC's because she already knows mostly all of the learning her classmates don't know

ReplyDeleteMelody is different we have figured this out by now,but she has a voice that she can not use.She has lots of info. inside of her. Everyone in room H-5 has potential but Melody if she could walk and talk at a younger age she would have so much she could do. It is very hard for her to be in that room when she is so smart and everyone is treated like they are 3 years old. That is why i love it when her mom comes in and she tells her teacher that the kids need some of there age things to do.

Melody is way different from many of the H-5 kids.Well not directly but Melody is different.Melody is very smart and intelligent but she can't really express it.And if Melody could talk she would of been the number one student.But since Melody can't talk or walk she can't get the education she wants.

Melody is different from the other kids because all Melody does is scream.She screams because of her teacher's music.Also all the other kids talk loud,throw pencils and crayons.
