Describe Melody's deep, unrealized need for a friend using specific details from the text.
One Book, One City for Kids is an annual reading program that encourages all 5th graders in the city to read and discuss the same book. The program also strives to encourage a lifelong love of reading among students, to inspire readers to bring story ideas and themes to life through discussion, and to build collaborative ties between public libraries, school libraries, and area schools. This year the entire city will be reading Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper.
At the end will Melody have a better life.

I think that Melody and Rose will end up getting more deeper with their friendship and they will start to talk more because in chapter 15 it says that she got a new computer that can talk what she wanted too say
ReplyDeleteWhy Melody "needs" a friend is she is like a different person like she can't talk or walk it is hard to talk to people and make friends.But she does has Rose so she could help her and be her friend if no else would be.But now that she has her new Medi Talker she can talk to people freely express her feelings and make friends.This is why Melody "needs" a friend>

Melody was really happy and a little bit nervous when she met Rose. Rose is her friend.
