What does Melody learn about friendship during the trip to the aquarium?
One Book, One City for Kids is an annual reading program that encourages all 5th graders in the city to read and discuss the same book. The program also strives to encourage a lifelong love of reading among students, to inspire readers to bring story ideas and themes to life through discussion, and to build collaborative ties between public libraries, school libraries, and area schools. This year the entire city will be reading Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper.
Melody went to the aquarium with Rose,penny,mom,dad,Mrs V then when rose saw Molly and Claire she felt embarrassed😳if they saw her with melody so she acting like she didn't come with them then they found out so they kept talking about why's she with her Claire and Molly were mean to Rose And Melody's Family Coit
ReplyDeletemelody learned that it takes time to make new friends because when your a new kid at a school it is hard to make friends so melody found some new friends on the wat to the aquairtum.

She learned that Mrs.V really cares about her and doesn't like when people mess with Melody because she is a special ed kid.

ReplyDeleteMelody learned that Rose is not her real friend because real friends don’t get embarrassed in front of their other friends. Rose doesn’t pay much attention to Melody. Rose payed a lot of attention to Penny though. I don’t think Melody knows Rose is pretending to be her friend. I think that's what Melody learned about friendship.
ReplyDeleteMelody learned that Rose wasn’t what she thought she would be like because they were still getting to know each other. Melody also learned that they will not always think the same about things. Melody found that out when Rose & her ran into Molly and Claire.

ReplyDeleteMelody learns that Rose might not be really her friend because when she went to the aquarium Rose seemed embarrassed to be with Melody when she saw Claire and Molly.Melody felt that Rose was not her true friend.
Melody learns at the aquarium that good friends don’t care about how you look and they aren't ashamed to be with you,they like being with you and don't care about what other people think about you.

What Melody learned about friendship is that she thought that Rose is embarrassed that she has a friend with cerebral palsy or that Rose doesn't like Melody. Then Rose saw

Melody learns that friendship is not easy and that Rose thinks that Melody is an embarrassment when they run into Claire & Molly.
ReplyDeleteShe feels kinda sad because when Penny was there Rose was talking to her and she was feeling kinda sad because she wishes that she could talk to Penny. She was kinda jealous because now she has a medi-talker to help her friend. So the friendship she learned is to never give up even when you can’t talk to your sister, but that means you don't have to get jealous .But not everyone has to be shy for people feelings.

One is that Rose is nice, and friendly,and that Rose is nice to Melody alone when the mean girls molly and Claire showed up Rose was really embarrassed and Rose tried to stand up for Melody.

Rose got a little embarrassed because the girls that made .Fun of them the first they went into there class . They might of been friends with rose a long time ago. ReplyDeleteMelody learned that her friend Rose isn't really her friend because when they went to the aquarium they ran into Molly and Claire and Rose was embarrassed and went over near Molly and Claire and when she was talking Molly and Claire they asked who are you here with and then Molly and Claire start to laugh and Melody can tell she is embarrassed And then Mrs. V steps in and tell's Claire you know why you have those braces... because your teeth aren't perfect and that's just like Melody and she says you weren't born perfect and neither was Melody and then Molly and Claire went back with there group and stayed away and then Rose came back a little embarrassed and then penny got tired and they went home and Rose thanked them and she said,she had a real good time and Melody wondered did she? And I think Melody also learned friends aren't always as they seem.
ReplyDeleteMelody was at the aquarium and saw the girls who was laughing at them at school and they said is that Rose and so Claire said what are you doing with Melody's family so Rose walked over there and said softly and said Melody invited me with them and ms.V said look at your braces your glad that you have messed up teeth then being in a wheel chair so they ran off with there scout teacher and Rose feelt enberssed.

She learns that she has to pick the right friend to hang out with. In the aquarium they were making fun of her. So Melody learned that she has to make friends that are not mean and rude.
